Introduction

Hey everyone,

I’m A.J aka Aisha Janae and thank you for visiting my blog! If this is your first time visiting welcome! This has been my safe place for years to express my life happenings, my loves for music, highlighting lifestyle brands, and much more.

I’ve come to the conclusion I like to write when the feeling moves me. It feels most natural & therapeutic which is it’s true purpose.

So… I have to catch up the blog on what’s going on!

Career Change

In 2023 I was laid off from my full time administrative position. It’s so crazy this story because it is quite similar to another artist I follow.

My team and I had the option to train for a different position but take a pay cut. While employed with this company, I obtained my real estate agent license & was in the process of switching to being an agent. What they don’t tell you about being an agent is (drum roll) it takes money to make money so having another profession/job to help support your lifestyle and transition is a must!

I decided to leave the company take the unemployment & obtain another license by enrolling into cosmetology school for the next available semester which was winter 2024. That year flew! I’ve graduated from the program & obtained my second occupational license. I’m glad I sacrificed a year to practice something I love for life. So what’s next right?

Baby Life

While in cosmetology school I got pregnant. As I have a 7 year old daughter, I honestly thought I’d have only one child but God saw different for my future. My daughter Claudia was born end of March and we are bonding with each other day…. and night getting this sleeping schedule together lol. Her character is quite feisty! I’d say her sister and I were a bit more mild tempered so that is an adjustment for sure 😄. Spending as much time with her as she’s small is my number one focus while I build my brand from home. This honestly allows me time to figure out scheduling & services I’ll offer once it’s time to hit the ground running with my in person clients.
