Hey everybody so there are so many great events in Flint MI this great summer month of June.


I wanted to share with everyone the special gems Behind The Posh has for events!





"The Spotlight" - Friday, June 16th


Located: Sloan museum & Longway Planetarium (Green Space)

📍 1221 E. Kearsley Street, Flint, MI


Artistic Visions Enterprises is partnering with Sloan Museum & Longway Planetarium to celebrate "Juneteenth". Juneteenth is a federal holiday celebrating the date of freedom for African Americans from slavery. On June 19th 1865, freedom was declared in Galveston, Texas, US.


This event will begin with a celebratory Freedom March and follow with art activities for children, entertainment, music performances, a few special surprises, and dinner starting at 6pm- 8pm. Vendors will also be present.

"Live at Carriage Town" - Saturday, June 17th



📍Located: 307 Mason St, Flint Mi, 48503


Jeff Skigh, along side other Flint artists, present "Live at Carriage Town", a live free music concert experience and community bbq.


"We're excited to offer these events and hope that everyone who attends has a great time, enjoy a free meal, and can safely enjoy themselves." - Jeff Skigh



Donations are welcome. All proceeds from this event will support "Involved Dads". Involved Dads is a local nonprofit organization of Flint, driven to empower fathers' involvement in their children's lives.

"HŌUSE OF WORDS" - Saturday, June 17th




📍Located: BAU-HŌUSE, 511 Buckham Alley, Flint, MI 48502


I'm excited to share this event! Local writers and poets are performing their personal written works of art on stage during "House of Words" event at BAU- HŌUSE urban art gallery. BAU- HŌUSE is an art and street wear gallery in Downtown Flint dedicated to building community through fashion and culture.


I personally know a few performers & I'm curious to hear their works of art! Tickets are limited and going fast. Come join me!

Flint Pride- June 24th


📍 Located: Flint Riverbank Park


June celebrates PRIDE And wellness AIDS is celebrating their 13th annual Pride in the Park at Flint's Riverbank Park. Brelia Renee and others will perform along with host PerryDox. If you would like more information on Flints Pride event, reach out to Wellness services at (810) 232-0888.
